A condition of the body or mind that makes it more difficult for the person with the condition to do certain activities (activity limitation) and interact with the world around them.

This is how a disability is officially described. However when asked about examples of disabilities, the first reactions one might receive will often involve or revolve around a visible disability, such as: being wheelchair bound or having a hearing aid, etc. All disabilities which can be considered highly visible.

But what about the conditions of the body that are invisible to the human eye? Issues that influence with your everyday routine from the moment you wake up, but might not be noticeable to another. What if you feel shame in admitting in experiencing difficulty in certain tasks? When would you call your condition a disability?

When will everyone find out they are not alone in their struggle. We hope through this project you’ll be able to find recognition in others experiences. We are collecting an archive of voices so please, feel free to add yours.
